Versace SS2013 Fashion Show in Milan

This season, the Versace collection is inspired by a strong approach to tailoring with a lingerie edge. Manly jackets are worn long, possess a relaxed fit and have soft and delicate lace features cut into them.

Little slip dresses in crushed silk and tie-dye tones of orange, blue, and nude are also cut with lace and leather, while others are slashed and held together with criss-cross lacing.

A fluid, less structured feel is achieved through the use of crêpe de Chine and chiffon, while the iconic Medusa tie-dye print appears like a flag on a little dress that drapes sensually over the body.
As ever with Versace, the details speak volumes: tiny metal chains hang from belts and mixed metal embellishments shine on shift cocktail dresses. And for those dramatic after dark occasions, evening gowns in tie-dye chiffon fit effortlessly and glisten with silver and gold fringing.
